A63 Western IC Entry Slip Road From Ferriby High Road to Humberfield Roundabout, Hessle - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
A63 WESTERN IC ENTRY SLIP ROAD FROM FERRIBY HIGH ROAD TO HUMBERFIELD ROUNDABOUT, HESSLE
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along A63 Western IC entry slip road from Ferriby High Road to Humberfield Roundabout, Hessle.
The reason for the closure is to enable resurfacing of the A63 entry slip road and to allow for a safety zone when resurfacing of the top part of the slip road of the A63, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 July 2025.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Humberfield Roundabout, Lowthorpe Way, Humber Bridge Roundabout, Humber Bridge Northern Approach Road, Boothferry Road, Askew Avenue, Hessle Road, Brighton Street, Clive Sullivan Way, A63 J A1166 join W, A63 through J A1166 W, A63 from J A1166 to J A15 W, A63 from J A15 to J A1166 E, Livingstone Road, A63 through J A15 E, A63 J A15 join E, A63 through J A15 W, A63 J A15 leave W, Petuaria Way, road from Ferriby High Road to Humberfield Roundabout.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services. The Order will commence Monday 28 July 2025 (between 20.00 hours and 06.00 hours) and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
