TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

BURY

BRECON DRIVE, CARDIGAN DRIVE, PATTERDALE DRIVE, PEMBROKE DRIVE, REDVALES ROAD, ULLSWATER DRIVE, WINDERMERE DRIVE, CORNWALL DRIVE, DERWENT DRIVE, DORSET DRIVE, ESSEX DRIVE, KENDAL DRIVE, KESWICK DRIVE, LAKELAND CRESCENT, RUTLAND DRIVE, SOMERSET DRIVE, SURREY DRIVE, SUSSEX DRIVE, TARN DRIVE, THIRLMERE DRIVE, WORCESTER CLOSE, KENT DRIVE, LINCOLN DRIVE, MIDDLESEX DRIVE, HEREFORD DRIVE, RHIWLAS DRIVE

TOTTINGTON

BOOTH WAY, CLAUGHTON ROAD, HESWALL DRIVE, HOLTHOUSE ROAD, KENYON WAY, NESTON ROAD, PARKGATE, PRENTON WAY, SHEEP GATE DRIVE

WHITEFIELD

PARKSTONE AVENUE, LINDRICK AVENUE, WOODHALL AVENUE, FAIRHAVEN AVENUE, FERNDALE AVENUE, HILLINGDON ROAD, HAWKSTONE AVENUE, WENTWORTH AVENUE

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway re-surfacing works (surface dressing programme)

Alternative routes will be via local diversions which will be in place as and when required by the works.

The Order comes into operation on 21/07/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately up to 6 weeks at each location.

(CEDAR STREET, HOLME AVENUE, WOODMAN DRIVE, BURY

HOLCOMBE LEE, RAMSBOTTOM & PERR YMEAD, PRESTWICH)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:–

  1. Cedar Street, Bury – between Parsonage Street & Pine Street

  2. Holcombe Lee, Ramsbottom – between Dalton Close & Adelaide Street

  3. Holme Avenue, Bury – between Garside Hey Road & Boulden Drive

  4. Perr ymead, Prestwich – Full length

  5. Woodman Drive, Bury – Full length

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.

The alternative routes will be: –

  1. Via Cedar Street, Deal Street & Laurel Street, Pine Street & vice versa

  2. Via Holcombe Lee, Lumb Carr Road, Bolton Road West, Geoffrey Street, Carrwood Hey & vice versa

  3. Via Garside Hey Road, Brandleholme Road, Holme Avenue & vice versa

  4. N/A – no through road

  5. Burrswood Avenue, Walmersley Road & Arley Avenue

The proposed Order will come into operation on 05/08/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately up to 5 weeks at each location.

(BOND STREET & HEYWOOD STREET, BURY)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE & ONE WAY WORKING ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

  1. Bond Street, Bury – between Queen Street & Rochdale Road

  2. Kershaw Street, Bury – at its junction with Heywood Street

  3. Tinline Street, Bury – at its junction with Heywood Street

  4. Heywood Street, Bury – in a southerly direction from Rochdale Road to Andrew Street

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate gas main replacement works.

The alternative routes are as follows:-

  1. Via Wash Lane, Moorgate, The Rock, Derby Way & Rochdale Road & vice-versa or Rochdale Road, Wash Lane & Wash Lane, Rochdale Road (eastbound) to roundabout at Junction 2 M66 & Rochdale Road (westbound)

  2. Via Tinline Street & Andrew Street

  3. Via Tinline Street & Andrew Street

  4. Via Rochdale Road, Angouleme Way, Manchester Road & Wellington Road

The Order will come into operation on Wednesday 23 July 2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 6 weeks.
