What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1)

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(RUSSELL STREET, PRESTWICH)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Russell Street, Prestwich – between Earl Street & Randlesham Street

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate United Utilities works

The alternate route will be via Taylor Street, Randlesham Street, Stanley Street, Earl Street & Russell Street

The proposed Order will come into operation on 04/08/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately up to 2 weeks.

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 35A, RADCLIFFE)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians, horse riders & cyclists from proceeding along:-

Public Right of Way 35A, Radcliffe – between the junctions with Spring Lane & Whittaker Street

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate the construction of an Active Travel Scheme & School build

The alternate route will be via Spring Lane & Whittaker Street & vice-versa

The proposed Order will come into operation on Thursday 17/07/25 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months.

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (CLOUGH STREET AREA, RADCLIFFE) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-

20 mph speed limit applying to the following streets:

Clough Street Full length
Andrew Street Full length

A copy of the draft 20mph Speed Limit Order, plans showing the roads and areas affected, a schedule of all streets included and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order and introducing the proposals may be requested by email at traffic.calming@bury.gov.uk quoting reference TM23/18/425

All representations whether in support or objecting to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to the Traffic Team, Bury Council, Bradley Fold depot, 34, Bradley Fold Road, Ainsworth, Radcliffe, Bury, B12 6RS or preferably by email to TROobjections@bury.gov.uk quoting ref: TM23/18/425 reference by 7th August 2025. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any  representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:

20 mph speed limit applying to the following streets:
