What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING,

LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING

PLACES) (VARIATION NO. _) ORDER 2025 - TRO/24/23

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended to add/amend/remove various waiting restrictions, loading prohibitions and parking places. The affected roads are within the following zones of the Controlled Parking Zone: Zone 1A: Frederick St; Young St; Nth Castle St; Queen St. Zone 2: Regent Rd. Zone 3: Brighton St; Hill Pl; Roxburgh St; Drummond St; Sth College

St; Infirmary St; Blair St; Cranston St; Jeffrey St; Cockburn St;

St. Giles St; Chambers St; High School Yards; St. Mary’s St;

Blackfriars St; Guthrie St. Zone 4: Keir St; Merchant St; King’s Stables Rd; Castle Ter; Cornwall St; Grindlay St; Spittal St; Lady Lawson St; West Port; Bread St; Johnston Ter. Details of the draft Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed online at consultation.appyway.com/ edinburgh-city, from 18/07/2025 to 08/08/2025 by following the link to “Proposals in consultation” under reference TRO/24/23 or at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. Documents can also be viewed at Waverley Court Reception, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG between 9:30am & 3:30pm Mon-Fri during the same period. Objectors must complete the form found via the “Proposals in consultation” link referred to above, or state their reasons in writing quoting reference TRO/24/23 to Traffic Orders at the above address, not later than 08/08/2025. Objections should state the name and address of the objector. If you are responding to this consultation and your comments or objection relate to any specific location/s or element/s of the proposal, it would be helpful if you could identify them in your submission.
