What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council,

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Station Road to Church Road, Threshfield, Order 2025, No. 244

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Station Road to Church Road, Threshfield for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 21/07/25 & 08/08/25, due to footway construction works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 29/08/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Ireby Road to Thorney Croft, Westhouse, Order 2025, No. 250

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Ireby Road to Thorney Croft, Westhouse for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 21/07/25 & 01/08/25, due to Yorkshire Water works to renew the water mains. However, the max duration of this Order is until 21/10/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary 30 MPH Speed Restriction, Smithy Lane, Westhouse, Order 2025 No. 251

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in excess of 30 mph along Smithy Lane, Westhouse for a temporary period between 21/07/25 & 01/08/25, due to Yorkshire Water works to renew the water main. However, the max duration of this Order is until 21/10/25. The restriction will be put into effect by notices & signs. We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Gill Lane, Cowling for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 21/07/25 & 08/08/25, due to Northern Gas Networks works to replace the gas main. However, the max duration for this Order is until 21/10/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Various Roads in Skipton Area, Order 2025, No. 255

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using

C387 Wenning Bank Bridge to A65 Clapham; Ray Bridge Lane Gargrave; C387 Wenning Bank Bridge to Lees Lane Kelds; A65 Emery Crag to Heath Farm Long Preston; Masongill Fell Lane Masongill; Mark House Lane Gargrave; Moor Lane Elslack; College Road Low Bradley; Cad Pot Lane Cowling; Fold Lane Cowling; A65 Settle Bypass Cleatop Roundabout; A65 Conistion Cold to Gargrave; A629 Skipton Bypass Roundabout Snaygill; Coniston Lane Settle; A59 Bolton Bridge Bypass Resection; B6265 Mill Bridge Rakes Hill; Asketon B 8460 due to works. These will be for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 21/07/25 & 20/11/25, due to BT Openreach works. However, the max duration of the Order is until 21/12/25. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No. 6 Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections (1)(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) District of Craven) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:

Settle, Kirkgate, East side from Western boundary of the cricket club to a Western & Northerly direction for 112m.

A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Settle Community Library, Limestone View, Lower Greenfoot, Settle BD24 9RB during normal office hours from 17/07/25 to 07/08/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing, addressed to Area 5 Skipton Highways Office, Snaygill Industrial Estate, Keighley Road, Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 2QR or by email Area5.Skipton@northyorks.gov.uk via the website link above by 07/08/25.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Gill Lane, Cowling, Order 2025, No. 272

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Gill Lane, Cowling for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 04/08/25 & 22/08/25, due to Northern Gas Networks gas main replacement works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 04/11/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
