Auckland Road West - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Auckland Road West) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.118) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 22nd July 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
AUCKLAND ROAD WEST
From outside Apsley House to its junction with Netley Road.
B) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY
AUCKLAND ROAD WEST
From its junction with Clarence Parade to outside Apsley House.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate works for new water and electricity supply.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 22nd July 2025 to 25th July 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Clarence Parade, Osborne Road, Netley Road, Richmond Terrace.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
