Weaste Road - Temporary Road for Junction Improvement Works.
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford has made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (WEASTE LANE, WEASTE ROAD, WELLINGTON TERRACE) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025.
The Order will introduce overnight road closures on Weaste Lane, Weaste Road and Wellington Terrace. The Order is necessary for junction improvement works. The order is due to come into operation on the 28th July 2025 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The road closures are scheduled to be in place from 28th July - 1st August and 4th August - 8th August. The works are expected to be completed by 21st September 2025. The diversion routes will be via:
i. Tootal Road - Tootal Drive - Edward Avenue - Weaste Lane, vice versa.
ii. Liverpool Street - Derby Road - Gore Avenue, vice versa.
iii. Liverpool Street - Derby Road - Eccles New Road - Weaste Road, vice versa.
iv. Tootal Road - Edward Avenue - Weaste Lane - Eccles Old Road - Stott Lane - Eccles New Road - Weaste Road, vice versa.
