What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A3094 (Part), Quidhampton and Salisbury, from its roundabout junction with Sadlers Drive for a distance of approximately 450m in an easterly direction to enable Baram Ltd to carry out 278 surfacing works. Alternative route via A3094 (unaffected length) – A338 – A36 – A3094 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:30 and 06:00 for 2 nights. B3089 (Part), Chilmark, from its junction with Hindon Lane to its junction with C276 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via B3089 (unaffected length) – A30 – A350 – B3089 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. C12 (Part), Broad Chalke, from its property known as No.49 High Road to its property known as Stoke Farm to enable Openreach to carry out pole test and associated works. Alternative route via C12 (unaffected length) – C64 – A30 – A36 – A3094 – C320 – C12 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. C300, Seend Head and Seend, from its junction with C616 to its junction with C299 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overruns and associated works. Alternative route via C299 (unaffected length) – C43 – C298 – C61 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 until 21 August 2025. B3080 (Part), Downton, from its junction with Moot Lane for a distance of approximately 520m in an easterly direction.
F) Slab Lane (Part), Downton, from its junction with B3080 for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction to enable Trooli to carry out communication equipment investigation and associated works. Alternative route via B3080 (unaffected length) – A338 – B3078 – B3080 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 3 days. G) Brook Street (Part), Fovant, from its junction with No 130 which is properly known as Pound House to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out new customer and associated works. Alternative route via Brook Street (unaffected length) – A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 21 August 2025. H) Watery Lane (Part), Donhead St Mary, from its property known as Rose Cottage for a distance of approximately 350m in a south easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out urgent drainage repairs, bobcat patching and associated works. Alternative route via Watery Lane (unaffected length) – Jenkins Corner – Church Hill – Watery Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and will be required until 22 August 2025. I) Booth Street (Part), South Newton, from its junction with A360 to its junction with West Street to enable Wessex Internet to carry out lay approximately 145m duct works and associated works. Alternative route via Booth Street via C283 (unaffected length) – A360 – A303 – B3083 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and the closure will be required until 1 August 2025. J1) (Part), Donhead St Mary, from its junction with C310 to its junction with Water Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overruns and associated works. Alternative route via C310 (unaffected length) – C62 – C310 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 for 5 days. Orders A) to J1) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (SOUTHERN WILTSHIRE) (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2022 (AMENDMENT NO.3) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to amend The County of Wiltshire (Southern Wiltshire) (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022 by introducing Amesbury Sports Centre Car Park to the Order, operating Monday to Friday, 3 hours No return within 3 hours.
Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may also be seen at Amesbury Library, Smithfield Street SP4 7AL during the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 1pm Saturday until 11 August 2025.
