What is happening?
KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
(WEST LANE, GOMERSAL, CLECKHEATON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of West Lane, Gomersal, Cleckheaton from its junction with Latham Lane to its junction with Oxford Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Latham Lane, Cliffe Lane, Woodlands Road, Spen Lane, Oxford Road.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 24 July 2025 and remain in force until 25 July 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(WHITCLIFFE ROAD AND ADJOINING ROADS,
GOMERSAL, CLECKHEATON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following roads of Cleckheaton:
Road Closure
Whitcliffe Road - from its junction with Turnsteads Avenue to its junction with Mount Street
Point Closures
South Parade - at its junction Whitcliffe Road
Westcliffe Road - at its junction Whitcliffe Road
Kenmore Road - at its junction Whitcliffe Road
Bramhope Road - at its junction Whitcliffe Road
Grange Road - at its junction Whitcliffe Road
Holdsworth Street - at its junction Whitcliffe Road
Access off and onto Whitcliffe Road will not be permitted PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Whitcliffe Road, Bradford Road, Dewsbury Road, Parkside, Westgate, Moorbottom, Moorside, Halifax Road, Scholes Lane, New Road East, Whitechapel Road, Turnsteads Avenue and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 21 July 2025 and remain in force until 26 September 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(TURNSTEADS CRESCENT/ TURNSTEADS AVENUE,
GOMERSAL, CLECKHEATON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of Turnsteads Crescent/Turnsteads Avenue, Gomersal, Cleckheaton:Turnsteads Crescent - from a point outside property no 11 to its junction with Turnsteads Avenue Turnsteads Avenue - from its junction of Turnsteads Crescent to its junction with Whitcliffe Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via :-
Turnsteads Crescent - Turnsteads Crescent, Turnsteads Drive, Whitechapel Road, Turnsteads Avenue and vice versa; and Turnsteads Avenue - Turnsteads Avenue, Whitechapel Road, Scholes Lane, Halifax Road, Moorside, Moorbottom, Westgate, Market Street, Bradford Road, Whitcliffe Road and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 21 July 2025 and will remain in force until 29 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(SACKVILLE STREET, RAVENSTHORPE, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Sackville Street, Ravensthorpe from a point outside property no 23 Sackville Street to a point outside property no 33 Sackville Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Sackville Street, Red Laithes Lane, Broomer Street, North Road, Sackville Street and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 21 July 2025 and will remain in force until 25 July 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(CHEVIOT WAY, MIRFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cheviot Way, Mirfield from outside property no 29 Cheviot Way to a point outside property no 33A Cheviot Way PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
There is no diversion.
It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday 21 July 2025 only between the hours of 09:30 and 13:30 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months in necessary).
(FIXBY LANE, WHITELY, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Fixby Lane, Whitely from either side of Pendle Hill Grange PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Falhouse Lane, Clough Lane, Tanhouse Lane, Liley Lane, Back Lane, Fixby Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 6 August 2025 and remain in force until 8 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(FALHOUSE LANE, WHITELY, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Falhouse Lane, Whitely, Dewsbury from a point approximately outside property no. 3 Fallhouse Lane to a point approximately outside Quarry House PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Falhouse Lane, Clough Lane, Tanhouse Lane, Liley Lane, Back Lane, Fixby Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 4 August 2025 and remain in force until 6 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(CROSS STREET, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cross Street, Batley from its junction with Commercial Street to Wards Hill PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Wellington Street, Commercial Street.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 6 August 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(JACK LANE, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Jack Lane, Batley from its junction with Saville Street to its junction with Peter Hill PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via:
Diversion - Commonside, Wood Lane, Mill Lane, Rouse Mill Lane, Bradford Road, Jack Lane
Diversion 1 - Commonside, Crackenedge Lane, Greaves Road, Bradford Road, Jack Lane
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 4 August 2025
07:00 and remain in force until 14 November 2025 17:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
