Lewisham, Proposed Parking Amendments & Waiting Restrictions

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF LEWISHAM

PROPOSED CHANGES TO ON-STREET PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS

ENNERSDALE ROAD AND NIGHTINGALE GROVE, SE13

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Lewisham propose to make under Sections 6, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46 and 49 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) “The Lewisham (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Consolidation) (Amendment No ) Order 202” and “The Lewisham (Charged for Parking Places) (Consolidation) (Amendment No ) Order 202” the effect of which will be to:-

    (a) prohibit waiting by vehicles at any time in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1;

    (b) provide for resident permit holders on-street parking places in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 2;

    (c) provide for shared use on-street parking places in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 3;

    (d) carry out technical corrections to the order across the access road leading to Gunton Mews on Nightingale Grove. This will have the effect of removing part of the shared use on-street parking place, operating Monday to Friday 9am–7pm (Permit Holders Zone H or Payment Parking Max Stay 4 hours) and replacing with a single yellow line restriction, prohibiting waiting by vehicles between Monday to Friday 9am–7pm;

    (e) (N.B. the footway parking on Ennersdale Road will be removed).

  2. Where a new restriction on the same length of road has been proposed, any existing restrictions are proposed to be revoked, unless otherwise specified.

  3. Copies of the draft Order, plans and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the may be obtained by emailing a request to trafficorders@lewisham.gov.uk quoting reference ‘PTO – 1084’.

  4. Comments on the proposals for or against, together with the reasons for which they are made should be sent through the lewisham.traffweb.app website or in writing to trafficorders@lewisham.gov.uk or Lewisham Transport Policy & Development, Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU, quoting reference ‘PTO-1084’ to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.

  5. All written representations received concerning Traffic Regulation Orders are public documents that may be inspected by any person on demand.

Schedule 1 – No Waiting At Any Time

Ennersdale Road –

(a) south side, across the side of No.181 Hither Green Lane to No.24 St Swithun’s Road;

(b) north side, from the property boundary line between No.11/No.13 to a point 2.4m east of the property boundary line between No.29/No.31;

(c) south side, outside and across No.14 to a point 6.4m west of the property boundary line between No.30/No.32;

(d) north side, from a point 3.3m west of the property boundary line between No.47/No.49 to a point 1.8m east of the property boundary line between No.59/61.

Schedule 2 – Resident Permit Bays

Monday to Friday 9am–7pm Resident Permit Holders Zone H

Ennersdale Road –

(a) north side, at the side of No.179 Hither Green Lane, from a point 11.8m east of the western building boundary to a point 1.5m west of property boundary line between No.7/No.9;

(b) south side, from a point 6.3m east of the eastern kerb-line of St Swithun’s Road to a point 2.8m west of the western kerb-line of Arlington Close;

(c) north side, from a point 2.4m east of the property boundary line between No.29/No.31 to a point 3.3m west of the property boundary line between No.47/No.49;

(d) south side, from a point 6.4m west of the property boundary line between No.30/No.32 to a point 1m east of property boundary line between No.38/No.40;

(e) north side, from a point 1.8m east of the property boundary line between No.59/61, 5.6m eastwards.

Schedule 3 – Shared Use Bays

Monday to Friday 9am–7pm Permit Holders Zone H and Payment Parking (Pay By Phone) Max Stay 4 Hours

  1. Ennersdale Road –

    (a) north side, at the side of No.179 Hither Green Lane, from a point 3.7m east of the western building boundary, 11.8m eastwards;

    (b) north side, from a point 7.4m east of the property boundary line between No.59/61, 5.4m eastwards;

  2. Nightingale Grove –

    (a) west side, across and outside Eldorado Apartments;

    (b) west side, across and outside Nos.45 to 53.
