ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF A630 FITZWILLIAM ROAD AND VARIOUS ROADS
EASTWOOD ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the six parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Wednesday 23rd July and Monday 18th August 2025. The parts of Shakespeare Road, Bethel Road, Milton Road, Cottenham Road and Denman Road will not be closed at the same time.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Gas main renewal).

SCHEDULE

(i) A630 Fitzwilliam Road in any direction other than a westerly direction between the western kerbline of Rawson Road and its junction with St. Anns Roundabout (the alternative route will be via St. Anns Roundabout, A630 Centenary Way, College Road Roundabout, Ickles Roundabout, Canklow Roundabout, A631 West Bawtry Road, Rotherway Roundabout, A630 East Bawtry Road, Worry Goose Roundabout, A6123 Herringthorpe Valley Road, Broom, Stag Roundabout and A6123 Herringthorpe Valley Road, Herringthorpe).

(ii) Shakespeare Road from its junction with A630 Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(iii) Bethel Road from its junction with A630 Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(iv) Milton Road at its junction with Fitzwilliam Road from its junction with A630 Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(v) Cottenham Road from its junction with A630 Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(vi) Denman Road from its junction with A630 Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

PART OF MANOR ROAD WALES SHEFFIELD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Manor Road from its junction with B6059 Wales Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction from 11.30pm on Saturday 26th July until 6am on Sunday 27th July 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Red Hill, Hard Lane, Union Street, Thorpe Road, Manor Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Level crossing maintenance).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Hooton Lane from the southern kerb line of Main Street for a distance of approximately 750m in a southerly direction on Sunday 27th. July 2025 between 8am and 6pm. NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Main Street, Rose Lane, Steadfolds Lane, Laughton Road, Rotherham Lane, High Street and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecommunication works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Wortley Avenue from its junction with A6022 Station Street for a distance of 45m in a south westerly direction on Sunday 27th July 2025 between 9.30am and 3.30pm. NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Works to telecommunications apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Tasman Grove service road serving properties 2 to 12 Tasman Grove from Monday 21st July until Friday 25th July 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works).

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes will be via (i) Northbound traffic Via Bawtry Road, Church Lane, Main Street, Old Hall Drive, Pear Tree Avenue, plane Drive, and (ii) Southbound traffic via Sycamore Avenue, Spruce Avenue, Warren Road, Northfield Lane, Wickersley Roundabout.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Turnshaw Road from a point 190m south of its junction with Main Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction from 8am on Monday 21st July until 8pm on Friday 25th July 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Main Street, Reservoir Road, Pleasley Road, Main Street, Aughton, Aughton Road, Aughton Lane, and Ulley Lane, Aston and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of new water supply).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the three parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Monday 21st July and Monday 11th August 2025.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Gas main renewals).

SCHEDULE

(i) School Grove from its junction with Lodge Lane to the end of the cul de sac (there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac).

(ii) Nickerwood Drive from its junction with Lodge Lane to its junction with Seymour Road (the alternative route will be via Seymour Road and vice versa).

(iii) Judith Road from its junction with Lodge Lane to the end of the cul de sac (there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steadfolds Lane from the eastern kerbline of Steadfolds Rise for a distance of approximately 220m in an easterly direction from Monday 28th July until Friday 12th September 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Rose Lane, Laughton Road, The Crescent, Crescent End, Steadfolds Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (wall repairs).

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes will be via local neighbouring streets. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Carriageway resurfacing).

(i) St. Johns Road from its junction with its junction with Doncaster Road to its junction with View Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the borough of Rotherham in exercise of its powers under sections 32 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and Schedule 9 to that Act, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers proposes to make the above-mentioned order. It is proposed to introduce an off street car park provided and regulated by the Council off Constable Lane, Dinnington which will serve as a “Free” car park. The proposed days and hours of operation, the maximum period for which vehicles may wait and the scale of charges that will apply are specified in the Schedule to this notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily suspend part of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction) (Consolidation) Order 2004 and reduce the speed limit from 60 miles hour to 40 miles per hour for motor vehicles travelling along that part of Hague Lane from its junction with B6089 Cortworth Lane for a distance of approximately 550m in a southerly direction on Thursday 7th August 2025 between 7pm and 11pm.

The reason for the speed limit order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Safety of site personnel whilst undertaking telecommunications works).
