Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 17 July 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FYFIELD BARROW, WALNUT TREE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2215)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Fyfield Barrow, Walnut Tree from its junction with Tongwell Street to its junction with The Tawney Owl.
The closure will take effect at the following times:
On 28th July 2025, between 9:30am and 4:00pm
On 28th August 2025, between 9:30am and 4:00pm
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Fyfield Barrow and Tongwell Street (Vice Versa).
The closure to allow Anglian Water to carry out valve installation works.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (TIMBOLD DRIVE (PART), KENTS HILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (No.2) (Reference TTRO-2169)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following part Timbold Drive, Kents Hill from its junction with Hammerwood Gate for a distance of 70 metres in a northerly direction.
The closure will take effect from 28th to 30th July 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Hammerwood Gate, Brickhill Street and Hawkhurst Gate (and vice versa).
The closure is necessary to enable Aptus Utilities to undertake works in connection with the residential development in the area.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 15 July 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BRIDLEWAY 009 SHENLEY BROOK END, TATTENHOE PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2213)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order is to temporarily prohibit members of the public from entering or proceeding along Bridleway 009 Shenley Brook End, Tattenhoe Park from a point level with Verne Grove for 210 metres in a southerly direction.
The closure will be in effect between 18th July 2025 and 17th January 2026
Whilst the above length of bridleway is closed the alternative route will be via Bridleway running parallel to Bridleway 009 (and vice versa).
The closure is necessary to enable Bellway carrying out construction works nearby.

PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (VARIOUS ROADS, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2009) VARIATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to extend the existing no waiting at any time restrictions on The Canons, Newport Pagnell to its junction with Leary Crescent.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:
www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/consultations.
Any representations or objections to the proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to
quoting reference TRO-448 and to be received no later than 7th August 2025. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
