What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A61 INNER RELIEF ROAD, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 03 August 2025 (04:00 to 16:00).
WHERE: A61 Inner Relief Road, Chesterfield (including on and off slips) between its jct. with the Hornsbridge Interchange and its jct. with the Brimington Interchange.
REASON: To facilitate highway maintenance works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hornsbridge Interchange, A617, Lordsmill Interchange, B6543, Donut Interchange, B6057 Sheffield Road, Lockoford Road, Lockoford Lane, Brimington Interchange and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
