Medway, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HEMPSTEAD ROAD, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated works to be carried out.

Hempstead Road, Gillingham – to be closed to all vehicular traffic between its junction with Lidsing Road and 327 Hempstead Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Lidsing Road, Capstone Road, Peartree Lane and Hempstead Road in both directions.

This order will come into force on Wednesday, 30 July 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to take place on Wednesday, 30 July 2025 between 8am and 6pm. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

CECIL ROAD, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable Southern Water to carry out a new connection.

Cecil Road, Rochester – to be closed to all vehicular traffic between its junctions with Wickham Street and Catherine Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Catherine Street, Weller Avenue, Jasper Avenue, St William Way and Cecil Road in both directions.

This order will come into force on Wednesday, 31 July 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 31 July 2025 and are programmed for completion by Thursday, 7 August 2025. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

BUNTERS HILL ROAD, WAINSCOTT (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated works to be carried out.

Bunters Hill Road, Wainscott – to be closed to all vehicular traffic from its junction with the B2000 to beyond the farm entrance. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Bunters Hill Road, Higham Road, Hollywood Lane and B2000 in both directions.

This order will come into force on Thursday, 31 July 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to take place on Thursday, 31 July 2025 between 8am and 6pm.  The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

BROADWAY, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable BT Openreach to replace a decayed telegraph pole. Broadway, Gillingham – to be closed to all vehicular traffic from outside number 154 to outside number 168. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Broadway and Featherby Road in both directions. This order will come into force on Friday, 15 August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 15 August 2025 and are programmed for completion by Monday, 18 August 2025. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed. BREDHURST ROAD, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out

Bredhurst Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 53 Bredhurst Road, Gillingham. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Woodside and Drewery Drive.

This order will come into force on Thursday, 26 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 26 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within four days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

ANTHONYS WAY, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works to be carried out

Anthonys Way, Rochester – to be closed to all vehicular traffic along its full length in both directions. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes will be provided and signed as the works progress. Commissioners Road – an available alternative route - width restriction to be temporarily removed for the duration of the works.

This order will come into force on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to take place over three nights between the hours of 7pm and 6am. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
