What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN KINGS LANGLEY AND HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of A4251 (Watford Road/High Street/Hempstead Road), Kings Langley and A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the Home Park Mill Link roundabout north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with the Apsley Mills Retail Park roundabout, a distance of approximately 3573m.

An alternative route will be via A4251 Watford Road, A41 (unnamed road) and A4251 London Road. 2. the A4251 London Road roundabout, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with London Road clockwise for its entire length.

An alternative route will be via A4251 (London Road/Hempstead Road/High Street/Watford Road), A41 (unnamed road) and A4251 London Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GRAVEL HILL TERRACE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gravel Hill Terrace, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the western boundary of No.19 Gravel Hill Terrace north eastwards for a distance of approximately 37m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Gravel Hill Terrace, Green End Road, St Johns Road, Cowper Road and Gravel Hill Terrace.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ORCHARD STREET, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Orchard Street, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Manor Avenue north eastwards to its junction with A4251 London Road, a distance of approximately 47m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Orchard Street, Henry Street, Featherbed Lane, Winifred Road, Story Street, Weymouth Road and A4251 London Road.

The Order is needed because manhole lining works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THREE CHERRY TREES LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD/ CHERRY TREE LANE, REDBOURN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Three Cherry Trees Lane, Hemel Hempstead/Cherry Tree Lane, Redbourn from its junction with Boundary Way south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with the Green Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 758m (“the length of Roads”).

An alternative route will be via Boundary Way, Buncefield Road, A414 Breakspear Way and Green Lane or via Green Lane, A414 Breakspear Way, A4147 Maylands Avenue, Swallowdale Lane and Three Cherry Trees Lane.

The Order is needed because resurfacing and lining works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BROWNLOW ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Brownlow Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Station Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Castle Hill, a distance of approximately 200m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Station Road, Gravel Path, The Common, New Road and Brownlow Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MAYFLOWER AVENUE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mayflower Avenue, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Caernarvon Close north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Mayflower Avenue, Hillfield Road, Alexandra Road, Midland Road and Mayflower Avenue.

The Order is needed because duct laying works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE COMMON, CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Common, Chipperfield from a point 124m south east of its junction with Chipperfield Public Footpath No.007 south eastwards for a distance of approximately 90m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via The Common, The Street, Dunny Lane, Poles Hill, The Green, Dimmocks Lane, Sarratt Road, Redhall Lane, Chandlers Lane, Toms Hill, Bucks Hill and The Common.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
