What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -

SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(DUNSTABLE ROAD, CADDINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Dunstable Road, Caddington outside numbers 91 to 93.

This temporary closure is required to enable electrical maintenance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 8 August 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Luton Road, B4540, Church Road, Markyate Road, London Road, Dunstable Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 6 August 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HEXTON ROAD, BARTON LE CLAY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hexton Road, Barton Le Clay from number 79 Hexton Road to 50 metres past the substation.

This temporary closure is required to enable installation of road humps to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 August 2025 to 10 September 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B655, Hexton Road, Streatley Road, A6 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 4 August 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(WELLHEAD ROAD, TOTTERNHOE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Wellhead Road, Totternhoe outside numbers 37 to 39.

This temporary closure is required to enable electrical maintenance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 25 July to 4 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Furlong Lane, Dunstable Road, Totternhoe Road, Tring Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 25 July 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(SUNDON ROAD, HARLINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central

Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sundon Road, Harlington outside number 53.

This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 21 to 23 July 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Barton Road, Harlington Road, Sharpenhoe Road, Sundon Road, Streatley Road, Harlington Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PRIORY ROAD, DUNSTABLE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Priory Road, Dunstable between numbers 29 and 31.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from

21 to 23 July 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Church Street, Station Road, Great Northern Road, Richard Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE

A 40MPH SPEED LIMIT ON HIGHAM GOBION ROAD, BARTON-LE-CLAY Reason for proposal: The speed limit is intended to reduce the speed of traffic entering and leaving the newly built-up area in order to minimise danger, obstruction and inconvenience to users of the highway.

Effect of the Order:

To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following length of road in Barton-le-Clay:-

1. Higham Gobion Road, from a point approximately 32 metres north-east of the centre of the junction with The Orchard School and Nursery Access Road and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 294 metres.
