What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Various Rds, Chiltern) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in the rds below: Layters End, Chalfont St Peter: Watchet Ln, Little Kingshill: Latimer Rd, Latimer. The closure is required whilst plane and patch works commence on 1 September 2025. PLEASE NOTE: The full duration of this multi-order is to allow coordination of a number of works, and flexibility given their weather dependent nature. The actual times that each road will be closed for will be much less than this and could be either day or night works only. The full details will be published on the internet when confirmed, with signs on the affected road erected two weeks before the closure. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Daws Hill Lane, High Wycombe) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Daws Hill Lane for approx. 56M. Alternative route: Daws Hill Lane, Hyndham Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a pole installment commences on 26 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 26 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(New Pond Road, Holmer Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in New Pond Road for approx. 94M. Alternative route: New Pond Road, Beech Tree Road, The Common, Pond Approach and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Openreach works commence on 5 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 5 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Bellfield Road, High Wycombe) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Bellfield Road for approx. 44M. Alternative route: Parker Knoll Way, Glenisters Road, Frogmoor, Arch Way, Dovecot Road, Oxford Street, Oxford Road, Abbey Way, Access Road to Eden Shopping Centre, Bellfield Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Network Rail works commence on 26 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 26 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Chestnut Ln, Amersham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Chestnut Ln for approx. 44M. Alternative route: Chiltern Ln, Stubbs End Cl, Quill Hall Ln, Raan’s Rd, Woodside Rd, Plantation Rd, Grimsdells Ln, Sycamore Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Affinity Water valve repair works commence on 13 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 13 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Village Rd, Little Missenden) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Village Rd for approx. 25M. Alternative route: Highmore Cottages Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst UKPN new service connection works commence on 28 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Pednor Rd, Chesham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Pednor Rd for approx. 62M. Alternative route: Pednor Rd, Pednor Bottom, Vale Rd, the A416, the B4505, Park Rd, St Marys Way, Church St, Red Lion St and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Openreach service connection works commence on 23 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Spurlands End Rd, Great Kingshill) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Spurlands End Rd for approx. 54M. Alternative route: Persimmon Walk, Spurlands End Rd, Heath End Rd, Cryers Hill Rd, Hughenden Rd, Hughenden Ave and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Openreach works commence on 21 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Speen Rd, North Dean) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Speen Rd for approx. 402M. Alternative route: Speen Rd, Valley Rd, Coombe Ln, Main Rd, New Rd, Slad Ln, Flowers Bottom Ln, Chapel Hill and vice versa. The closure is required whilst CityFibre access to chamber to site of works commence on 10 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 29 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Chestnut Ave, Chesham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Chestnut Ave for approx. 30M. Alternative route: Pond Park Rd, Eskdale Ave, Manor Way, Chestnut Ave, Nalders Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Affinity Water new water connection works commence on 29 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 29 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Brays Green Ln, Hyde Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Brays Green Ln for approx. 131M. The closure is required whilst Cadent Gas mains replacement works commence on 24 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 24 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Kensteens, in Hyde Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Kensteens for approx. 248M. Alternative route: Brays Green Ln, Brays Ln, Weedon Hill and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Cadent Gas mains replacement works commence on 11 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Burtons Ln, Little Chalfont) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Burtons Ln for approx. 41M. The closure is required whilst storage of materials and site movement commences on 26 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 26 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Wymers Wood Rd, Poyle Ln, Brickfield Ln, Burnham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Wymers Wood Rd, Poyle Ln, Brickfield Ln for approx. 320M. Alternative route: Taplow Common Rd, Wymers Wood Rd, Poyle Ln, Brickfield Ln and vice versa. The closure is required whilst UK Oil Group access to chamber for survey and test rod/rope through existing network commences on 30 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 30 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Collinswood Rd (side Rd), Farnham Common) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Collinswood Road (side rd) for approx. 12M. The closure is required whilst CityFibre to install duct for optic cable installation works commence on 30 July 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 30 July 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Public Footpath No. 30/1, Parish of Hambleden) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of HAMP FP 29/2, 29/6 & 30/1 and continues north on the right bank of the river for approx. 112M. The closure is required due to the side of the footpath. The closure is required to enable filling support (partly located within the river), bridge repair and enhancement works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 14 July 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

(Public Footpath No.37, Parish of Lane End) (Temporary Bridleway Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Bridleway from a point approx. 184M from (sic) B482 to a point approx. 1320M North. The closure is required in the interest of public safety to replace the existing bridge over the stream, which includes reprofiling of the liners. The alternative route is via the existing expansion joints and surfacing works, allowing repatching of lane issues. The alternative route is via the existing network. The proposed Order will come into operation on 19 July 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Public Footpath No. 106/1, Parish of Chesham) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction CHS FP 106/1 and Severalls Avenue and continues west to the junction with Brockhurst Road. There is no alternative route. The closure is required to enable maintenance to an unstable retaining wall. The Order will come into operation on 19 July 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
