Tunbridge Wells, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

 

B2086 Benenden Road, Cranbrook, TN17 3PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2086 Benenden Road, Cranbrook, on or after 8th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Greensleeves, between the hours 07:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2086 Cranbrook Road, Iden Green Road, Mill Street, Sponden Lane, A268 Megrims Hill, A268 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Hartley Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, B2086 Benenden Road and vice versa.

 

Barden Road, Speldhurst, TN3 0LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Barden Road, Speldhurst, on or after 7th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Old Dairy, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Barden Road, Speldhurst Hill, Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Road, A26 St Johns Road, A26 London Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, B2176 Penshurst Road, Barden Road and vice versa.

 

Broomhill Road & Lower Green Road, Rusthall, TN3 0NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic parts of Broomhill Road & Lower Green Road, Rusthall, on or after 8th August 2025 for up to 24 days or until the works have been completed.

Broomhill Road will be closed between Broomhill Bank School and junction with Lower Green Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Lower Green Road will be closed in the vicinity of Lower Green Farm to house number 123. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic for Broomhill Road is via Lower Green Road, Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Road, Broomhill Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic for Lower Green Road is via Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Road, A26 St Johns Road, A26 Mount Ephraim, A264 Bishops Down, A264 Langton Road, Coach Road, Lower Green Road.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic for Lower Green Road is via Speldhurst Hill, Langton Road, Speldhurst Road, The Green, A264 Langton Road, Coach Road, Lower Green Road.

 

Etherington Hill, Speldhurst, TN3 0TS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pumping station maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Etherington Hill, Speldhurst, on or after 21st July 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Smallbrook Farm, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Road, Broomhill Road, Lower Green Road and vice versa.

 

Fairmans Lane, Brenchley, TN12 7BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow a new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fairmans Lane, Brenchley, on or after 4th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Short Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Fairmans Lane, Tong Road, Green Lane, Tong Lane, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, The Heath, Brenchley Road, Horsmonden Road, Short Lane and vice versa.

 

Folly Hill, Cranbrook (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Folly Hill, Cranbrook, on or after 4th August 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Redwater Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Folly Hill, Colliers Green Road, Marden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, A229 The Common, A229 Camden Hill, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Cranbrook Road, Pinnock Lane, Goudhurst Road and vice versa.

 

Greggs Wood Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Greggs Wood Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 4th August 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Friars Way to the junction of Theodore Close, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Liptraps Lane, Birken Road, Sandhurst Road, Sherwood Road and vice versa.

 

Lucks Lane, Paddock Wood, TN12 6QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lucks Lane, Paddock Wood, on or after 21st July 2025 for up to 93 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of B2160 Maidstone Road to Nut Tree Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2160 Maidstone Road, Wagon Lane, Queen Street, Lucks Lane and vice versa.

 

Maidstone Road, Lower Green Road & The Meadow, Pembury, TN2 4TA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Maidstone Road, Lower Green Road & The Meadow, Pembury, on or after 21st July 2025 for up to 37 days or until the works have been completed.

Maidstone Road & Lower Green Road will be closed between the junction of Ridgeway and property number 66. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The Meadow will be closed outside property numbers 2 to 6. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Maidstone Road and Lower Green Road through traffic is via Lower Green Road, High Street, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, Maidstone Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any The Meadow through traffic is via Lower Green Road, Maidstone Road, Herons Way and vice versa.

 

Sherwood Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sherwood Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 6th August 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Sandhurst Road and Greggs Wood Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 from 6th August 2025 to 22nd August 2025, excluding weekends, and 24hrs at all other times. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandhurst Road and vice versa.
