Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
Athelstan Green, Hollingbourne, ME17 1UX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Athelstan Green, Hollingbourne, on or after 21st July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Musket Lane, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Bow Bridge, Wateringbury, ME18 5EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bow Bridge, Wateringbury, on or after 9th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, between the hours of 23:30 on 9th August 2025 and 23:45 on 10th August 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bow Hill, Kenward Road, B2010 Yalding Hill, B2010 High Street, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2015 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
Bower Mount Road, Maidstone (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict parking on part of Bower Mount Road, Maidstone, on or after 23rd July 2025 for up to 43 days or until the works have been completed.
Parking will be restricted in the vicinity of property number 13 to property number 33. To the extent indicated by signs on site.
Charlton Lane, West Farleigh, ME15 0NN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Charlton Lane, West Farleigh, on or after 5th August 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 5. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Charlton Lane, B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane and vice versa.
Couchman Green Lane, Staplehurst, TN12 0RS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Couchman Green Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 22nd July 2025 for up to 132 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Badge House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Couchman Green Lane, Headcorn Road, Station Road, Maidstone Road and vice versa.
Darman Lane, Paddock Wood, TN12 6PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Darman Lane, Paddock Wood, on or after 5th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Fowlhall Cottage, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Darman Lane, Claygate Road, Jarmons Lane, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Maidstone Road, Churn Lane, Pearsons Green Road, Mile Oak Road, Queen Street and vice versa.
Honey Lane, Otham, ME15 8RX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Honey Lane, Otham, on or after 5th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Buglehorn Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Honey Lane, Simmonds Lane, Otham Street, Green Hill, Otham Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, New Road and vice versa.
Kennel Barn Road, Stockbury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kennel Barn Road, Stockbury, on or after 4th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Hazel Street and Church Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hazel Street, Church Lane and vice versa.
Lenham Road, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Headcorn, on or after 21st July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Blantyre, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Ulcombe Hill, The Street, Headcorn Road, Crumps Lane, Ulcombe Road, Lenham Road and vice versa.
Loddington Lane, Linton (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Loddington Lane, Linton, on or after 6th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Loddington Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Loddington Lane, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, Butt Green Lane, Loddington Lane and vice versa.
Princes Way, Detling, ME14 3LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Princes Way, Detling, on or after 21st July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 2A. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Princes Way, Queensway, Pilgrims Way, The Street, Princes Way and vice versa.
St Luke’s Avenue, Maidstone, ME14 5AL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Luke’s Avenue, Maidstone, on or after 21st July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 28. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Allen Street, Hedley Street, B2012 Holland Road, St Luke’s Avenue and vice versa.
Stickfast Lane, Ulcombe (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stickfast Lane, Ulcombe, on or after 21st July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed to the east of the junction with Brick Kiln Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stickfast Lane, Ulcombe Road, Tattlebury Lane, A274 Maidstone Road, East Sutton Road, Stickfast Lane and vice versa.
West Wood Road, Stockbury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of West Wood Road, Stockbury, on or after 4th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Hill Green Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plum Tree Lane, Hill Green Road and vice versa.
White Horse Lane, Otham, ME15 8RH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of White Horse Lane, Otham, on or after 22nd July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property called Parkview, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Simmonds Lane, Honey Lane, White Horse Lane and vice versa.
Various Roads, Maidstone (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow Maidstone River Festival event to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on various roads in Maidstone as detailed below, on or after 26th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the event has been completed.
The following roads will be closed between the hours of 21:45 and 22:15 only:
• A229 Fairmeadow – between the junctions with Staceys Street roundabout and High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
• Earl Street – between the junctions with Week Street and A229 Fairmeadow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
• Medway Street – between the junction with Pudding Lane and A229 Fairmeadow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
• St Faiths Street – between Week Street and A229 Fairmeadow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A249 Mote Road, A249 Wat Tyler Way, A249 Andrew Broughton Way, A249 Albion Place, A249 Sittingbourne Road, B2012 Holland Road, B2012 Well Road, B2012 Lower Boxley Road, B2012 Staceys Street, A229 Royal Engineers Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A229 Royal Engineers Road, B2012 Staceys Street, B2012 Lower Boxley Road, B2012 Well Road, B2012 Holland Road, A249 Sittinbourne Road, A249 Albion Place, A249 Andrew Broughton Way, A20 Ashford Road, A249 Wat Tyler Way, A249 Mote Road, A249 Knightrider Street, A229 Mill Street, A229 Bishops Way.
