What is happening?
(KIRKCUDBRIGHT RIDING OF THE MARCHES) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close various roads in Kirkcudbright on 18/7/25, 18:00 to 21:30 as follows: Dee Walk, Dee Rd, St Mary’s St, St Cuthbert’s St, Castle St, High St, St Mary’s Wynd, Longacres Rd, Dunbar Ave, Great Cross Rd, The Crofts, Longacre Rd, Castledykes Rd, A711, Bourtree Ave, Selkirk Rd, Rossway Hill, Rossway Rd, Woodlands Ave, Silvercraigs Rd, Barhill Rd, Townend, Millburn St, St Cuthbert’s St, St Cuthbert’s Pl, Beaconsfield Pl, Bridge St, Tongland Rd, Burnside Loaning, Stirling Acres Rd, Millflats. The closure is necessary to facilitate Kirkcudbright Riding of the Marches. Drivers should expect delays. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
(CASTLE DOUGLAS CIVIC DAY PARADE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close the following roads on 19/7/25: 12:30 to 14:30 Wallets Mart via Oakwell Road, Ernespie Road, King Street, Marle Street, Queen Street, New Market Street to Wallets Mart together with Market Hill Car Park (maintaining access to electric bays from Queen Street). Minor delays should be expected for the duration of the event. Emergency vehicle access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
(U305S UNION STREET) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER) ORDER 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily suspend parking on the U305s from its junction with High Street to No.25 (both sides) from 0800 on 23/07/25 – 2359 on 01/08/25. The closure is necessary to facilitate sewer works.
