What is happening?

WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – FALCON ROAD, SW11

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth intends to make an Order to restrict vehicular traffic in Falcon Road to facilitate new highway and architectural lighting and some soft landscaping/planting works.

  2. Whilst the works are taking place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed or wait in Falcon Road from its junction with Falcon Lane to its junction with Grant Road (the extents of Falcon Road Rail Bridge)

  3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be via Plough Road and Latchmere Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on the 21 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within 4 weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

  5. The provisions specified in article 2 above shall not apply in respect of:

    (i) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works;

    (ii) any vehicle on any occasion when it is being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes if the observance of those provisions would hinder the use of the vehicle;

    (iii) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – BUCKHOLD ROAD & LONGSTAFF ROAD SW18

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Buckhold Road & Longstaff Road to facilitate Southern Gas Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along:

    • Buckhold Road from the junction with Wandsworth High Street to the junction with Neville Gill Close – 21/07/2025 – 31/08/2025

    • Longstaff Road from the junction with Buckhold Road to outside number 4 -06/10/2025 – 16/11/2025

    There will be no waiting 09:00 -17:00.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 16 November 2025.

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Fishponds Road to facilitate Southern Gas Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Fishponds Road from the junction with Broadwater Road to the junction with Hebdon Road. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 1 September 2025.

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Heathfield Road to facilitate Southern Gas Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Heathfield Road from the junction of Heathfield Square (outside number 29) to the junction with Magdalen Road. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 12 October 2025.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC – KIMBER ROAD SW18

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Kimber Road to facilitate the introduction of temporary parking restrictions for Southern Gas Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Kimber Road, there will be additional parking restrictions introduced as follows – :

    • Temporary double yellow lines will be installed on both sides of Kimber Road between Lyddon Grove and Twilley Street.

    • Between Lyddon Grove and Twilley Street, temporary double yellow lines will be added to the even number side, the opposite side of the road to the parking bays.

    • From the mini roundabout at the junction of Burr Road to the junction of Merton Road A218, temporary double yellow lines will be in place on both sides of the road.

    • In addition to these temporary double yellow lines, the parking bays along King Georges Park will be suspended on both sides of the road.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  5. The order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 2 September 2025.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION – LAVENDER HILL SW11

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Lavender Hill to facilitate Thames Water utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place on Lavender Hill, the east and westbound cycle lanes will be suspended from opposite the junction with Sugden Road to opposite the junction with Stormont Road. The eastbound Bus Lane restriction will also be lifted to facilitate the works, Monday- Thursday.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  5. The order will come into operation on 23 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 25 July 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – GARRATT LANE SW18

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Garratt Lane to facilitate Southern Gas Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place on Garratt Lane, the southbound cycle lane will be closed from the junction with Allfarthing Lane to the junction with Treport Street. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 14 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 25 July 2025.

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Rodway Road to facilitate Telecoms utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Rodway Road from the junction with Roehampton High Street to the junction with Nepean Street. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 15 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 17 July 2025.
