Ferriby High Road, North Ferriby - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 FERRIBY HIGH ROAD, NORTH FERRIBY

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Ferriby High Road, North Ferriby. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed excavation works for rising main and reinstate carriageway. S278 works for a new footpath are to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 August 2025.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via High Street, Melton Road, A63 Melton Interchange Westbound Off Slip, Woodside Bridge South Roundabout, Woodside Bridge, Woodside Bridge North Roundabout, South Lawn Way, A63 Melton Interchange Eastbound On Slip, A63 from J A1034 to J A15 E, Petuaria Way, A63 J A15 leave E, A63 through J A15 E, Humberfield Roundabout, Ferriby Road, road from Ferriby High Road to Humberfield Roundabout and Ferriby High Road, North Ferriby.

The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.

The Order will commence Monday 21 July 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
