CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(LONDON LANE, HOUGHTON CONQUEST)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of London Lane, Houghton Conquest near Brookside Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable ironworks to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 30 July to 1 August 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Chapel End Road, A6 and London Lane.
The Order will come into operation on 30 July 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Clophill outside The Green Man.
This temporary closure is required to enable two new water connections to go ahead in safety and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 29 to 31 July 2025.
The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via High Street, The Causeway, A507, A6 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 29 July 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Northwood End Road, Haynes outside number 21A.
This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 6 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Northwood End Road, A600, Silver End Road and vice versa.

This temporary closure is required to enable manhole cover and frame replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Green Lane, Stewartby 20 metres either side of the bridge.
This temporary closure is required to enable rerail works, S & T inspection,
pothole repairs, and white line painting to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11pm on 12th of July 2025 to 4am on the 14th of July 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
