Notice is hereby given that further to a notice on the 02 January 2025, the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). Amendments have been made to the timings of the restrictions, and to measurements on Mill Road.

(Amendment No.71) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order:
To Introduce No Stopping at Any Time Red Route restrictions on Anchor Road, Tiptree, at its junctions with Maldon Road and Station Road.
To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Anchor Road, Tiptree, at its junctions with Gladstone Road, Coriander Road, Rectory Road, Saffron Way and the access road to numbers 36 to 40 Anchor Road.
To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Eastwood Drive at and opposite its junction with California Close and at its junction with Aldeburgh Gardens.
To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Old Heath Road at the entrance to Cannock Mill Rise.
To partially revoke a section of No Waiting Mon–Sat 8am–6pm on Old Heath Road between Cannock Mill Rise and 105 Old Heath Road and replace the section with No Waiting at Any Time.
To introduce No Stopping at Any Time Red route on Holt Drive, Colchester, at its junctions with Bober Court, Sexton Close and on the north side of the road between Cherry Tree County Primary School and its junction with the B1025.
To introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Hakewill Way on its east side between Knevett Close and Wallace Road.
To introduce No Stopping at Any Time Red route on Oaklands Avenue, Colchester at its junction with Dugard Avenue.
To Introduce No Waiting at Any Time on Parsons Heath opposite the junction with Churnwood Road.
To Revoke the Bus stand 7am to 7pm in Middleborough, Colchester and introduce a Bus Stand Maximum wait 1 hour no return 2 hours.
To partially revoke the Goods Vehicle Loading Bay in Church Street Colchester and introduce a Disabled badge holders only 3 hrs stay No return within 2 hrs.
To amend The Essex County Council (Colchester City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 to allow the properties detailed in Column 3 of the table in the Schedule 5 to this Notice to be able to purchase permits for the existing zone listed in Column 1 of that table.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Colchester City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL 890 160, TL890 157, TL895 157, TL895 155, TM005 275, TM010 237, TM005 215, revision 0 replaced by revision 1.
Replacing tile number TL990 270 revision 2 replaced by revision 3. Introducing tile numbers TM000 212 and TM005 212. Replace Tile TL990 255 revision 1 with revision 2. Replace Tile TM020 262 revision 0 with revision 1. Replace TL990 250 revision 3 with revision 4.

Application to the high court:
Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Hunters Chase for a distance of approximately 55m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT2488024823032024 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Frating Road, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 1165m in a south easterly then south westerly direction (to the point where the road name changes to Bromley Road).
The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th August 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2386956 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Temporary Suspension of One Way)
(Maidenburgh Street, Williams Walk, George Street)
Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of High Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Maidenburgh Street to its junction with St Nicholas Street a distance of approximately 15m.
To temporarily suspend the one way in that length of Maidenburgh Street, Colchester & George Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester as cited in “The Essex County Council (West Stockwell Street, East Stockwell Street, Maidenburgh Street and George Street, Colchester) (No Entry and Revocation of One Way) Order 2022”.
To temporarily suspend the one way in that length of William Walk, Colchester in the City of Colchester, as cited in “The Borough of Colchester (Traffic Regulation) (No.4) Order 1953”.
The closure/restrictions are scheduled to commence on 26th July 2025 for 1 night (20:00–07:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EC30063006386, EC30063524752, EC30096561253, EC30097595275 – UK Power Networks).

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Malting Green Road, Layer-de-la-Haye in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 95m west of its junction with Abberton Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310784940 – Anglian Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connections works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of New Cut, Layer-de-la-Haye in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 40m north west of the junction with High Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th August 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03065921447 – Anglian Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via High Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
