Sandwell, High Street, Tipton - Temporary Road Closure, to allow for works to be carried out.

What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Borough Council of Sandwell (High Street, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along High Street, Tipton which will be closed from the western boundary of property No.25 to 20 metres west of its junction with Qualtronyc Business Park. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Bloomfield Road, Hurst Lane, Sedgley Road West, Park Lane West, Sedgley Road East, Dudley Port, Horseley

Heath, Great Western Way, Black Country New Road, Leabrook Road, Gospel Oak Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 11/08/2025 effective from 21/07/2025 (24hrs). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Sycamore Road,Smethwick) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Sycamore Road, which will be closed from the dividing line of property Nos.139 & 140 to the dividing line of property Nos. 146 & 147. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Grange Road, Waterloo Road, Bearwood Road, Sandon Road, Willow Avenue, Dorset Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 24/07/2025 effective from 22/07/2025 (24hrs). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Wrights Lane, Cradley Heath) (Footway Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the footway from west of Totnal Bridge to its end with Wrights Lane. A pedestrian diversion route will be signed via Wrights Lane, Station Road, Waterfall Lane and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 05/09/2025 effective from 21/07/2025 (24hrs).
