The Burtons, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement Works
What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1171 The Burtons, Wellington Heath, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1171 The Burtons, Wellington Heath, near Uplands Cottage. Grid Ref: 370238/240221.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4214 Bromyard Rd onto Ledbury Rd C1172 onto the C1157 Church Lane and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to pole replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 21st of July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
