What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(COLNE GRAND PRIX, COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle (except for event participants) from proceeding over Church Street, Market Street, Walton Street, Colne Lane, Market Place, Parliament Street, Windy Bank, Ivegate, Craddock Road, Dockray Street and Skelton Street in the Borough of Pendle.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closures will be signed locally.
Access will be maintained via marshal points for residents and businesses.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the holding of the Colne Grand Prix 2025
The prohibition will be operative from 1330 hours until 2330 hours on Tuesday 22nd July 2025. (Or, at such time as, the last competitor has passed a point specified in the first column of the schedule to this notice.)
