Elm Grove - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Elm Grove) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.113) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 14th July 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
GROVE ROAD NORTH
From its junction with Elm Grove for 35 metres.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate lining and bollard works for cycleway improvements.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 14th July 2025 to 18th July 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Elm Grove, St Peters Grove, Cottage Grove, Grove Road North.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
