U6543 Netherton Lane - Temporary Road Closure

U6543 NETHERTON LANE BEDLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6543 Netherton Lane Bedlington from its junction with B1331 Netherton Road heading in a south westwards direction for a length of 281 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 21st July 2025 until the 21st January 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 21st July 2025 until the 29th August 2025 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st January 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the U6543, B1331 and vice-versa.
Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for carriageway surfacing, footway improvements and kerbing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
