NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ALBERT STREET, EARBY, PENDLE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 02 July 2025 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and 92 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke "The Borough of Pendle (Victoria Road to Albert Street, Earby) (One-Way) Order, 1994" insofar as it relates to the one way restriction on Unnamed Side Street leading from Victoria Road to Albert Street, Earby, between its junction with Victoria Road and a point 20 metres to the south-east in a south-easterly direction.
2. Introduce a prohibition of driving in Albert Street, Earby, from its junction with Victoria Road for a distance of 20 metres in a south easterly direction.
This prohibition includes an obstruction in accordance with Section 92 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

This Order will come into force on the 14 July 2025. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

quoting ref: LSG4/894. 17743/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
