What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Railway Street, Tipton)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Railway Street, Tipton from the junction of Horseley Road to the entrance for CCR Forming Limited (northwestern side). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A diversion route will be signed via Horseley Heath, Horseley Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 10/01/27 effective from 13/07/25 (24hr). Purpose – To facilitate access for the implementation of permanent road layout for the new Metro facility by Midland Metro Alliance.
