What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(HAGGS FARM ROAD & A71) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/107
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of; & (b) except with the permission of a
Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of any part of: (i) Haggs Farm Rd, from Long Dalmahoy Rd to A71; (ii) A71, from the extended west kerbline of Haggs Farm Rd, westwards for 100m; & (iii) A71, from the extended east
kerbline of Haggs Farm Rd, eastwards for 180m. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected section of road described in (b). The alternative route for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closures are: (i) Haggs Farm RdA71, Curriehill Rd, Long Dalmahoy Rd; (ii) A71 (east/westbound)- Bonnington Rd, Wilkieston Rd, Main St (Ratho), Dalmahoy Rd & (iii) A71 (north/southbound) - Curriehill Rd, A71, Dalmahoy Rd.
The Order shall have effect from 13/07/25 to 24/08/25.
