UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING

(THE STREET, WOKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over The Street in Wokefield between its junction with Goodboys Lane and its junction with Bloomfieldhatch Lane.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via The Street, Station Road, Beech Hill Road, The Forehead, Beech Hill Road, B3349 Basingstoke Road, A33 Swallowfield Bypass, Mereoak Lane, Mortimer Road, Bloomfieldhatch Lane, The Street and vice versa.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Network Rail to carry out repairs to the rail structure.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 18th July 2025. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 18th and 19th July 2025 between the hours of 22:00–06:00.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & WAITING) ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ORDER 2025

The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over the entire length of the roads listed in the Schedule below. The works include no waiting will be allowed on the roads to be closed or their diversion routes from 00:01 hours on the date of any works until their conclusion.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order will vary depending on the exact length to be closed and will be signed on site for the duration of the closure. The purpose of this Order is to enable any and all maintenance works to take place as a result of scheduled routine maintenance inspections.

The proposed Order will come into effect on Wednesday 16th July 2025. The exact date(s) of any closure will be advertised on site prior to the closures.

Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network.
