What is happening?

(D73/6 BLUESTONE FORD, SOUTH OF CHIRNSIDE)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (D73-6 Bluestone Ford, South of Chirnside) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:00 on 14 July 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 31 August 2025 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for repairs to ford. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D73/6 at Bluestone Ford, South of Chirnside.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the D73/6, A6105, B6437, D79/6 and D73/6 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.

(TWEEDHILL, BERWICK-UPON-TWEED)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (Tweedhill, Berwick-upon-Tweed) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 17 July 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 10:00 and 14:00. The Order is required for SPEN works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C99 at Tweedhill, Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the B6461, A1, A698 to Longridge House, C6, C3 and C2 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.
