LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY

The Bromley (Controlled Parking) (On Street Places) Order 2004

(Amendment No.) Order 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order would be to:

(a) Convert existing Time Limited ‘Free Parking’ Bays to Pay by Phone Bays as set out in the Schedule to this Notice.

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Order.

Copies of the proposed Order, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Bromley Council, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, or by emailing TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk.

ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Westmoreland Road, Bromley, BR1 1DP, or by email to TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk, quoting reference ADE(TPY)/RP/T100/1789 not later than 30th July 2025.

Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.

SCHEDULE: –

PAY BY PHONE PARKING

Charge: £0.60 per hour, Max Stay 3 hours. 8.30am to 6.30pm on Monday to Saturdays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays:

MAIN ROAD, Biggin Hill:

(a) southwest

(i) from a point 1 metre southeast of the northwestern flank wall of No. 136 south eastwards for a distance of 11 metres.

(ii) from the party wall of Nos. 144a & 146 south eastwards for a distance of 10.5 metres.

(iii) from the party wall of Nos. 148 and 150 to the party wall of Nos. 154 and 154a Main Road.

(iv) from the northwestern flank wall of No. 168 south eastwards to a point 15 metres northwest of the northwestern kerbline of the entrance to Nos. 172 - 184 Main Road.

(b) northeast

(i) from the common boundary of Nos. 197a and 199 south eastward for a distance of 17 metres.

(ii) from a point 5 metres northwest of the common boundary of Nos. 201 and 203 to a point 6 metres southeast of the common boundary of Nos. 201 and 203 Main Road.

(iii) from a point 2 metres southeast of the common boundary of Nos. 203 and 205 south eastwards for a distance of 41 metres.
