NOTICE OF MAKING
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETERBOROUGH 
THE A47 VARIOUS SIDE ROADS
SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that The Council of the City of Peterborough has made the above Order under Sections 82(1)(a), 84(1)(a) and (2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, ‘the Act of 1984’ and of all other enabling powers.

The effect of this Order is to introduce various speed limits on the roads listed below 30mph Speed Limit

a) Welland Road – From the roundabout at its junction with the A47 in a southerly direction for a distance of 66m, by virtue of being a restricted road 50mph Speed Limit

b) Crowland Road – From the roundabout at its junction with the A47 in a northerly direction for a distance of 38m

c) Crowland Road – From the roundabout at its junction with the A47 in a southerly direction for a distance of 33m

d) The Causeway, Thorney – From the roundabout at its junction with the A47 in an easterly direction for a distance of 402m

e) New Cut – From the roundabout at its junction with the A47 in a northerly direction for a distance of 120m

This Order comes into effect on the 17 July 2025 and copies of the order, along with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, can be requested by contacting 01733 747474 or trafficregulation@peterborough.gov.uk.
