What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
B6025 ALFRETON ROAD, SHIRLAND
WHEN: 28 July to 06 August 2025
WHERE: B6025 Alfreton Road, Shirland from its Jct. with Park Mill Drive, Westhouses, for a distance of 970m in a south westerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate ducting works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B6025 Alfreton Road, A61, Town End, Birkinstyle Lane, High Street, Stonebroom Lane, B6014 and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
