What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
BESSINGBY WAY, BRIDLINGTON

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along part of Bessingby Way,
Bridlington between the junctions of McDonalds Access
Road and road between Bessingby Way and Boundary
Road commencing 21 July 2025 and 22 July 2025
between 19.00 hours and 06.00 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
carriageway maintenance works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed by 23 July 2025 at 06.00 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via: N/A as no through road.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain
open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access
to properties and businesses directly affected by the
closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 21 July 2025 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further
