What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5160 LUPIN ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5160 Lupin Road, Ipswich from no. 104 for 30 metres southbound to facilitate domestic supply connections.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Aster Road, Speedwell Road, Coltsfoot Road, Wallers Grove and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/07/2025 - 09/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6840 KIRTLING PLACE FOOTWAY, HAVERHILL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6840 Kirtling Place Footway, Haverhill from no. 52 Kettleton Place for 30 metres north westbound to facilitate fire hydrants repairs.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Kirtling Place Footway, Millfields Way Unassociated Footway and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/07/2025 - 09/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE F6845 FOOTWAY FROM WOODCOCK CLOSE TO KINGFISHER CLOSE, HAVERHILL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the F6845 Footway from Woodcock Close to Kingfisher Close, Haverhill from the rear of no. 21 Kingfisher Close for 10 metres westbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the Footway from Woodcock Close to Kingfisher Close, Woodcock Close and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 07/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C682 WATER LANE, CAVENDISH LANE AND TYE GREEN, CAVENDISH AND GLEMSFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• C682 Water Lane, Cavendish

• C682 Cavendish Lane, Glemsford

• C682 Tye Green, Glemsford from Cavendish Lane to the junction with the B1065.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1065, the A1092 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/07/2025 - 11/07/2025 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C741 Church Hill, Whepstead from the junction with the B1066 for 65 metres westbound to facilitate an electrical supply update.

The diversion route will be the B1066 Bury Road, Pages Hill Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/07/2025 - 11/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be New Street, The Thoroughfare, Pytches Road, North Hill, Bredfield Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/07/2025 - 09/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 13, Elmswell from the level crossing for 320 metres eastbound to facilitate surface dressing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion will be Footpath 24, Parnell Lane, School Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/07/2025 - 30/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U7318 Water Lane, Denston from Trundalls to Waterlane Barn to facilitate the replacement of telecommunication poles.

The diversion route will be Top Green, Wickham Street Road, the A143 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/07/2025 - 17/07/2025 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A143 BURY ROAD, SOWLEY GREEN AND HAVERHILL ROAD, LITTLE BRADLEY, GREAT THURLOW, BARNARDISTON AND LITTLE WRATTING

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 40 mph speed restriction on the following roads:

• A143 Bury Road, Little Bradley from 5 metres south of Oak Cottage to Sowley Green

• A143 Sowley Green, Great Thurlow

• A143 Bury Road, Barnardiston

• A143 Haverhill Road, Barnardiston

• A143 Haverhill Road, Little Wratting from Haverhill Road, Barnardiston to sub station.

This is to facilitate the installation of new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/07/2025 - 15/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C417 Hyams Lane, Holbrook from the entrance to Ashton Hall Cottages for 100 metres north eastbound to facilitate pole testing and tree cutting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Coxhall Road, Schools Road, Lemons Hill, Church Road, the A137, the B1080, Hyams Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 07/07/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U3323 Thomsons Lane, Otley from the junction with Ipswich Road to the junction with the B1077

  2. B1077 Helmingham road, Ashbocking from the junction with Thomsons Lane for 300 metres northbound.

    This is to facilitate cable installations. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion routes will be:

  3. Ipswich Road, Gibraltar Road, the B1078, the B1077 and vice versa

  4. The B1078, the B1079 and vice versa.

    It is intended that the closures will operate from:

  5. 07/07/2025 - 18/07/2025

  6. 28/07/2025 - 08/08/2025.

    If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

• C727 Layham Road, Layham from Layham Road, Hadleigh for 275 metres southbound to sewage works entrance.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Layham Road, road from 8500 to C727, Stoke Road - Layham, Stoke Road - Shelley, Rockalls Road, Polstead Hill, Holt Road, Watsons Corner, the A1071, the B1070 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/07/2025 - 09/07/2025 from 8am - 4.30pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

• the U8703 York Road, Sudbury from 80 metres east of the junction with Melford Road for 30 metres eastbound

• the U8703 Queens Road, Sudbury from 15 metres northwest of the junction with York Road for 15 metres south eastbound.

This is to facilitate remedial water works to repair a defect. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion routes will be:

• Suffolk Road, the A131 and no vice versa

• The A131, Suffolk Road, Humphry Road, Stanley Road, Clarence Road and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 16/07/2025 - 6am on 17/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
