David Newbury Drive, Lee-on-the-solent, Gosport - Temporary Road Closure due to manhole replacement
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of David Newbury Drive between its junction with Glenny Close and its junction with Langton Close.
LTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cherque Way, Fitzroy Drive, Megson Drive
DURATION OF ORDER: from 17th July 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between the hours 09:30 – 15:30).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Lanes Group Ltd to carry out replacement of manhole cover and frame. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: aixa.sala@lanesgroup.co.uk Lanes Group Ltd will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
