Hertfordshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B462 ALDENHAM ROAD, BUSHEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B462 Aldenham Road, Bushey from its junction with Heathfield Road north eastwards to its junction with the Bushey Hall Road/ The Avenue roundabout, a distance of approximately 143m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B462 Aldenham Road, A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road), A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Stephenson Way), A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 Oxford Way and B462 (Hartspring Lane/Aldenham Road) or via B462 (Aldenham Road/Hartspring Lane), A41 North Western Avenue, A4008 Stephenson Way and A411 (Waterfields Way/Lower High Street/Chalk Hill).

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A404 RICKMANSWORTH ROAD, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A404 Rickmansworth Road, Chorleywood from its junction with Park Avenue north westwards to its junction with the M25 (junction 18) southbound slip road leading onto the southbound carriageway of the M25, a distance of approximately 38m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A404 (Rickmansworth Road/Chorleywood Road), A412 (Rectory Road/Uxbridge Road/Denham Way/North Orbital Road/Denham Avenue), A40 Oxford Road, A413 (Amersham Road/Gravel Hill/Amersham Road/London Road/Amersham Road/London Road East) and A404 (Stanley Hill/White Lion Road/Amersham Road/Amersham Road/Chenies Road/Rickmansworth Road).

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telecommunications mast is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B5378 SHENLEYBURY, SHENLEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B5378 Shenleybury, Shenley from its junction with the B556 Harper Lane/B556 Bell Lane roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 545m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B556 Harper Lane, A5183 (Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street) and B5378 (Allum Lane/Shenley Road/Cowley Hill/Green Street/White Lane/London Road/Black Lion Hill/Shenleybury).

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STIRLING WAY, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Stirling Way, Borehamwood from a point 70m north east of its junction with the A411 Barnet Lane/A411 Barnet Bypass roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Stirling Way, A411 Barnet Lane, Furzehill Road, Cranes Way, Ripon Way and Stirling Way.

The Order is needed because the installation of a new telecommunications site is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 8 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BERRY LANE, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Berry Lane, Chorleywood from a point 71m south west of its junction with Common Gate Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 172m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Berry Lane, Common Gate Road, Chorleywood Bottom, Hubbards Road, Furze View, Rendlesham Way, Stag Lane and Berry Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 8 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WESTBURY ROAD, NORTHWOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Westbury Road, Northwood from its junction with Bourne End Road south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with South Approach, a distance of approximately 150m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HARTHALL LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Harthall Lane, Kings Langley from a point 134m north east of its junction with Railway Terrace north eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Harthall Lane, Railway Terrace, Hyde Lane, Bedmond Road and Harthall Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STATION APPROACH, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Approach, Chorleywood from its junction with Chorleywood Public Footpath No.042 north westwards for a distance of approximately 53m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Station Approach, Common Road, A404 (Chenies Road/Amersham Road) and Green Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
