The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
The Isle of Wight Council (Roud Road, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Monday 14 July 2025, and Friday 01 August 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Roud Road, Godshill, From its junctions with Godshill footpath 19, and its junction with Whitwell Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Bridge Maintenance.
The Isle of Wight Council (Rew Street, Gurnard, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Monday 14 July 2025, and Wednesday 16 July 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Rew Street, Gurnard, From its junctions with Cowes & East Cowes Footpath 20, and its junction with Harness Lane. The Isle of Wight Council (George Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Tuesday 15 July 2025, and Thursday 17 July 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along George Street, Ryde, for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Easton Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 14 July 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 18 July 2025, or when the works have been completed, Easton Lane will be closed for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Pell Lane, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 14 July 2025 until 1800 hours on Sunday 3 August 2025, or when the works have been completed, Pell Lane will be closed between its junctions with Mayfield Road and Tandy Close. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Wilmingham Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0930 and 1530 hours on Wednesday 16 July 2025, or when the works have been completed, Wilmingham Lane will be closed between its junctions with Main Road, Thorley and Freshwater Footpath 24. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 11 July 2025 and Friday 15 August 2025 the following roads will be closed between either 0600 and 1800 or 1800 and 0600 for a period of approximately one to 5 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and lining works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:
The Isle of Wight Council (Drill Hall Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Drill Hall Road will be closed for its entire length.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 11 July 2025 and Friday 22 August 2025 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately 10 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, Lining and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe.
