What is happening?

WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – GARRATT LANE SW18

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Garratt Lane to facilitate Southern Gas Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place on Garratt Lane the southbound cycle lane will be closed from the junction with Allfarthing Lane to the junction with Treport Street. There will be no waiting 08:00 - 17:00.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 14 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 25 July 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – RODWAY ROAD SW15

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Rodway Road to facilitate Telecoms utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Rodway Road from the junction with Roehampton High Street to the junction with Nepean Street. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 15 July 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 17 July 2025.

PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in pursuance of Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to establish a parallel zebra crossing and in Burntwood Lane, where the crossing will be situated approximately 7 metres north-east of the junction of Openview. The control area will be from a point opposite the south-western kerb-line of Openview north-eastwards for a distance of approximately 38 metres

  2. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU.

  3. Any person wishing to make a comment about the proposals should send a statement in writing to the Director of Environment and Community Services at the address below within 21 days of the date of this Notice.

The London Borough of Wandsworth (Electric Scooter and Dockless Bicycles) (Free Parking Places) (No. 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2024

NOTICE OF MODIFICATION

Mossbury Road, SW11

  1. Wandsworth Council on 2 July 2025 made modifications to the above Order under section 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The modifications will come into force on 7 July 2025.

  2. The general effect of the modifications is to amend the location of the E-Scooter and dockless bicycles parking bay from the south side of Mossbury Road, adjacent to Weatherspoon, Falcon Road, so that it is sited on the western side of Mossbury Road, from a point 10 metres north of the junction with Lavender Hill, northwards for a distance of 10 metres.

  3. Please address any representations to the modifications to the address below within six months of the date of this Notice.

VARIOUS STREETS IN THE BOROUGH

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Orders under section 6, 45, 46 and 49 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

    The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. ) Order 202;

    The Wandsworth (Battersea) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 202;

    The Wandsworth (Cycles Parking) (No. ) Order 202;

  2. The general effects of the Orders are detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

  3. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.

  4. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection to the Director of Environment and Community Services at the address below (quoting reference W/ECS/ TMO2093) within 21 days of the date of this Notice.

SCHEDULE

Radstock Street (South), north of Parkgate Road

The removal of 1 x motorcycle parking bay and 1 x parallel on-street vehicular parking bay on the eastern side of Radstock Street to allow the installation planting.

Radstock Street South

Removal of 3 x on-street Pay and Display bays on the western side of Radstock Street South to allow the installation of Sheffield cycle stands.

Parkgate Road

Installation of 1 x motorcycle only on-street parking bay on the southern side of Parkgate Road immediately north-west of the access to Meadowbank Nursing Home.

Echo Street

Deletion of existing on-carriageway parallel CPZ bays on the western side of Elcho Street and the installation of inset CPZ and pay and display parallel parking bays

Howie Street

The installation of 2 x CPZ/pay and display inset on-street parking bays on the southern side of Howie Street, the eastern edge of the bay space being approximately 6.5m west of the Howie Street/Elcho Street junction.

The installation of 2 x CPZ/pay and display inset on-street parking bays on the southern side of Howie Street at a location immediately south-east of the Radstock Street North/Howie Street junction.

The removal of on-street vehicular parking bays on the southern side of Howie Street and their replacement with double yellow lining for a distance of 51m in a westerly direction from the western end of the above bays to the eastern end of two on-street parking bays managed by TfL as part of the Red Route.

The installation of one on-street disabled parallel parking bay on the northern side of Howie Street south-west of the Radstock Street North/Howie Street junction.

The deletion of one on-street CPZ bay immediately west of the proposed disabled bay and the installation of double yellow lining.

The deletion of the existing single yellow lining on the northern side of the carriageway on Howie Street and its replacement with double yellow lining from a point immediately west of the proposed disabled parking bay to a point immediately south-east of the dropped kerb access to the proposed refuse store that will service the development, a distance of 12m.
