ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14

AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

BENSHAM MANOR ROAD, THORNTON HEATH

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water supply on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Bensham Manor Road, Thornton Heath.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Bensham Manor Road will be closed between its junctions with Whitehorse Road and Swain Road.

  3. During the closure traffic will be diverted via Whitehorse Road, Windmill Road, London Road, Brigstock Road and vice versa.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 07 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 12 July 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

    (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  6. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

HAVELOCK ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install water pressure monitoring equipment, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking in Havelock Road, Croydon.

  2. During the work:

    a) Havelock Road will be closed at its junction with Addiscombe Road.

    b) The two parking bays on the east side of Havelock Road adjacent to the flank wall of No. 203 Addiscombe Road will be suspended.

    c) The two parking bays nearest the junction with Addiscombe Road on the west side of Havelock Road, adjacent to Cecil Court, will be suspended.

  3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Addiscombe Road, Outram Road, Lower Addiscombe Road, Elgin Road and reversed.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 07 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 09 July 2025.

    However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

  5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

KYNASTON ROAD, THORNTON HEATH

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they have made an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Kynaston Road, Thornton Heath.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, the entire length of Kynaston Road will be closed.

  3. During the closure, traffic will be diverted as detailed below.

    Northbound: Via Ecclesbourne Road, Bensham Manor Road, Whitehorse Road, Pawsons Road, Palmerston Road, and Sandringham Road.

    Southbound: Via Ecclesbourne Road, Bensham Lane, Bert Road, Kynaston Avenue, Pitt Road, and Sandringham Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 03 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately 22 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

    (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  6. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

BRIGHTON ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Brighton Road, South Croydon.

  2. During the work the cycle lane on the east side of Brighton Road will be closed between its junction with Napier Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 220 and 222 Brighton Road.

  3. Whilst the closure remains in force cyclists will be required to dismount and use the footway.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 08 August 2025.

    However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

  5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

LITTLE ROKE AVENUE, KENLEY

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate drainage works, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Little Roke Avenue, Kenley.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) Little Roke Avenue will be closed at its junction with Little Roke Road.

    b) Parking in Little Roke Avenue will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply “at any time” along both sides of the road from its junction with Little Roke Road to No. 89 Little Roke Avenue.

  3. The Order will come into operation on 23 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 31 August 2025.

    However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

    (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

LYNDHURST ROAD, THORNTON HEATH

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new connection works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath.

  2. During the work Lyndhurst Road will be closed outside No. 77 Lyndhurst Road.

  3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for traffic will be via London Road, Malvern Road, and Beverstone Road, or via London Road, Langdale Road, and Beverstone Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 25 July 2025.

    However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

  5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
