(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
* Bilston Road A41 closed outbound only from its junction with Ring Road to its junction with Chillington Street. Vehicular Diversion Route: Ring Road, Ring Road St George’s, Birmingham Road, Thompson Avenue, Birmingham New Road, Black Country Route, Oxford Street Island, Oxford Street, Lichfield Street, Wellington Road.
* Sharrocks Street closed in both directions from its junction with Bilston Road to its junction with York Street. Vehicular Diversion Route: Ring Road, Middle Cross, Horseley Fields, Lower Horseley Fields, Lower Walsall Street, Walsall Street, Commercial Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on 9 July 2025 and 10 July 2025, between the hours of 00:01 and 05:00.
The Order is required to facilitate the inspection and maintenance of overhead cables by Centro.
