What is happening?

(A1025, Gilden Way and Mulberry Green, Harlow)

(Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn) Order 202

(A1025, Gilden Way and Mayfield Farm, Sheering, Epping Forest) (Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn) Order 202**

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the Order:

  1. To Implement: A Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn Restriction on the following length of road

    Road | Description

    ---|---

    Mulberry Green | No person shall cause any vehicle travelling east on Mulberry Green to make a right-hand turn into the A1025 Gilden Way.

    A1025 Gilden Way | No person shall cause any vehicle travelling south on the A1025 Gilden Way to make a right-hand turn into Mulberry Green

  2. To Implement: A Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn Restriction on the following lengths of road

    Road | Description

    Mayfield Farm | No person shall cause any vehicle travelling on Mayfield Farm to make a right hand turn from the Mayfield Farm exit/egress onto the A1025, Gilden Way.

    A1025 Gilden Way | No person shall cause any vehicle travelling north on the A1025 Gilden Way to make a right-hand turn into Mayfield Farm Access

(Millers Lane, Chigwell)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Millers Lane, Chigwell in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Millers Close for a distance of approximately 340m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2025 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC40037395483 – UK Power Networks).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Millers Lane, A1112, A113, A123, B173, Lambourne Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mott Street, Loughton)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of Mott Street, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 350m south west then north west of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU093MCW-NL-06805391R – Thames Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains repair works are undertaken by Thames Water.

An alternative route is available via Mott Street, Lippitts Hill, Church Road, Mott Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Sheering Mill Lane, Sheering)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sheering Mill Lane, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Luxford Place for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th August 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGSW2M9Z – Openreach).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via

Sheering Mill Lane, Sheering Lower Road, Station Road, Knight Street, Church Street, The Square, Fair Green, Vantorts Road, Fairway, Sheering Mill Lane and vice versa.

Or – Sheering Mill Lane, Vantorts Road, Fair Green, The Square, Church Street, Knight Street, Station Road, Sheering Mill Lane.

(A414 – High Road, North Weald Bassett, Epping Road Bobbingworth, Epping Road, Ongar, High Ongar Road, Ongar, High Ongar Road Straightening, Ongar, Chelmsford Road, High Ongar, Chelmsford Road Straightening, High Ongar, Chelmsford Road Straightening, Blackmore) & (The Street, High Ongar & Stony Lane, Bobbingworth) (Temporary Introduction of a 40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit on those lengths of

    A414 – High Road, North Weald Bassett, Epping Road Bobbingworth, Epping Road, Ongar, High Ongar Road, Ongar, High Ongar Road Straightening, Ongar, Chelmsford Road, High Ongar, Chelmsford Road Straightening, High Ongar, Chelmsford Road Straightening, Blackmore in the District of Epping Forest & Borough of Brentwood, from the junction with Talbot Roundabout to the junction with Bassetts Lane for a distance of approximately 11275m in both directions.

  2. To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit on that length of

    The Street, High Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with the A414 Chelmsford Road to its other junction with A414 Chelmsford Road a distance of approximately 1105m in both directions.

  3. To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit on that length of

    Stony Lane, Bobbingworth in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with A414 Epping Road to its junction with Gainsborough Lane a distance of approximately 900m in both directions.

The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 21st July 2025 for 40 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2388288, A, B, C, D, E & F EP20153086217 – Essex County Council).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway maintenance works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via local roads.

(Avey Lane, Waltham Abbey)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Avey Lane, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Sewardstone Road to its junction with Pynest Green Lane a distance of approximately 1630m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2386355 – Essex County Council).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway defect works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Sewardstone Road, Sewardstone Road Roundabout, Dowding Way, Volunteer Roundabout, Honey Lane, Woodridden Hill, Woodgreen Road, Wake Arms Roundabout, High Road, Epping New Road, Robin Hood Roundabout, Cross Roads, Pauls Nursery Road, Avey Lane, Pynest Green Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Longfield, Loughton)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Longfield, Loughton in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Nursery Road for a distance of 25m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (MU11300768797-0000002 – Thames Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer cover replacement works are undertaken by Thames Water.

No diversion route is available.

The Order came into effect on 26th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Manor Road, Chigwell)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Manor Road, Chigwell in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Fairview Road to its junction with High Elms a distance of approximately 125m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (NK103D1S164504 – Virgin Media).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance works are undertaken by Virgin Media.

An alternative route is available via Manor Road, Hainault Road, High Road, Abridge Road, Abridge Road Roundabout, Gravel Lane, Lambourne Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 26th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
