Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A228 Colts Hill & A228 Maidstone Road, Pembury, TN12 6SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow carriageway maintenance to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A228 Colts Hill & A228 Maidstone Road, Pembury, on or after 1st August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed between the junction of B2017 Badsell Road and the junction with A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, between the hours of 20:00 on 1st August 2025 and 05:30 on 2nd August 2025, and 20:00 on 3rd August 2025 and 05:30 on 4th August 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic Northbound is via A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, A228 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Slip Northbound On And Off, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Pembury Road, A21 Vauxhall Slip Northbound Off, A2014 Vauxhall Lane, Vauxhall Roundabout, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road, B2017 Crockhurst Street, B2017 Five Oak Green Road, B2017 Badsell Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic Southbound is via B2017 Badsell Road, B2017 Five Oak Green Road, B2017 Crockhurst Street, B2017 Tudeley Road, A26 Woodgate Way, Vauxhall Roundabout, A2014 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Pembury Slip Road to A228 Pembury Road, A228 Pembury Road, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass.
Babbs Lane, Benenden, TN17 4LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Babbs Lane, Benenden, on or after 30th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with B2086 Cranbrook Road and the junction with Spring Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Babbs Lane, Coldharbour Road, Iden Green Road, B2086 Cranbrook Road and vice versa.
Castle Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 8DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Castle Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the rear of Mount Edgcumbe Hotel. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic Southbound is via A264 Church Road, A26 London Road, A26 Eridge Road, Castle Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic Northbound is via Mount Edgecombe Road, A26 London Road, A264 Church Road.
Foxhole Lane, Matfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water meter works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foxhole Lane, Matfield, on or after 30th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Glenbrook. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foxhole Lane, Chestnut Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, Bramble Reed Lane, Foxhole Lane and vice versa.
Gate Farm Road, Bidborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gate Farm Road, Bidborough, on or after 1st August 2025 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 140 metres in a North direction from property named Broadfield. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gate Farm Road, Hayesden Lane, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, Gate Farm Road and vice versa.
Hawkenbury Road, Hawkenbury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hawkenbury Road, Hawkenbury, on or after 15th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Reynards Brook Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hawkenbury Road, Benhall Mill Road, Forest Road, Boundary Road, Hawkenbury Road and vice versa.
Holden Road, Southborough, TN4 0GD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holden Road, Southborough, on or after 16th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Tanyard Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holden Road, A26 London Road, Victoria Road, Constitutional Hill Road and vice versa.
Lidwells Lane, Goudhurst, TN17 1JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lidwells Lane, Goudhurst, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 31 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Lidwells Cottage to outside Lodge Nursery, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and 09:00 and 16:00 on Sundays. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lidwells Lane, B2079 North Road, Blind Lane and vice versa.
Lucks Lane, Paddock Wood, TN12 6PD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lucks Lane, Paddock Wood, on or after 20th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Swatlands Level Crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lucks Lane, Queen Street, Mile Oak Road, Mascalls Court Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, and vice versa.
Marden Road, Cranbrook (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marden Road, Cranbrook, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Barnoast. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, Colliers Green Road and vice versa.
Queen Street, Paddock Wood, TN12 6NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queen Street, Paddock Wood, on or after 20th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queen Street, Willow Lane, Pearsons Green Road, Mile Oak Road, Queen Street and vice versa.
Slip Mill Lane, Hawkhurst, TN18 5BD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Slip Mill Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 5. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Limes Grove, A229 Gills Green, Wellington Road, Slip Mill Lane and vice versa.
Stepneyford Lane, Benenden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stepneyford Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 280 metres south of Greenlane Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stepneyford Lane, Green Lane, Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Stepneyford Lane and vice versa.
Stone Street, Cranbrook, TN18 4WB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stone Street, Cranbrook, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 31. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stone Street, High Street, A229 Angley Road, Waterloo Road, Stone Street and vice versa.
Water Lane, Hawkhurst, TN18 5DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead wire transfer works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 16th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Keepers Cottage between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Cranbrook Road, A268 Rye Road and vice versa.
