Sevenoaks, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

SEVENOAKS AREA

 

Cade Lane, Sevenoaks, TN13 1RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cade Lane, Sevenoaks, on or after 29th July 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 2.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

Chart Lane, Brasted, TN16 1LR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Lane, Brasted, on or after 17th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Toys Hill WBS.

The alternative route is via Chart Lane, Toys Hill, B2042 Green Lane/Ide Hill Road/Wheatsheaf Hill/Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street and vice versa.

 

College Road, Hextable, BR8 7LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach pole replacement, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of College Road, Hextable, on or after 17th July 2025 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hartsdown.

The alternative route is via College Road, Leydenhatch Lane, Birchwood Road, B2173 Maidstone Road/Bartholomew Way, B258 Swanley Lane/Main Road and vice versa.

 

Hever Lane, Hever, TN8 7ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hever Lane, Hever, on or after 16th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Buckhurst Barn and Rose Cottage.

The alternative route is via Chippens Lane, Uckfield Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill and vice versa.

 

Horton Road & The Street, Horton Kirby, DA4 9BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Horton Road and The Street, Horton Kirby, on or after 18th July 2025 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs or until the works have been completed.

Horton Road will be closed between number 1 and The Street.

The Street will be closed between Flint Cottage and Horton Road.

The alternative route is via Horton Road, Station Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 London Road, Eglantine Lane, Lombard Street and vice versa.

 

Ovenden Road, Sundridge, TN14 6AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of drainage works to prevent further flooding to the carriageway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ovenden Road, Sundridge, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed just before Oveny Green Cottages, by the pond.

The alternative route is via Ovenden Road, Pilgrims Way, Brasted Hill Road, Rectory Lane, A25 High Street/Main Road, B2211 Chevening Road and vice versa.

 

Ridge Way, Edenbridge, TN8 6AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ridge Way, Edenbridge, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside No.4.

The alternative route is via Ridge Way, Pit Lane, Swan Lane, Swan Ridge and vice versa.

 

Watery Lane, Seal, TN15 0EL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Watery Lane, Seal, on or after 31st July 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A25 Maidstone Road and Waterden Cottage.

The alternative route is via A25 Maidstone Road, Broad Oak Lane, Fullers Hill and vice versa.
