Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

GRAVESHAM AREA

 

A226 Gravesend Road, Higham  ME3 7DZ (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of the replacement of an ADS sign, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A226 Gravesend Road, Higham, on or after 15th July 2025 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane will be suspended between Villa Road and Peartree Lane cross roads to Hollytree Drive.

 

A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, DA11 0QQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new gas connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Wrotham Road, Gravesend, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bat & Ball PH.

The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, B261 Old Road West, Windmill Street, Zion Place and vice versa.

 

Lower Road, Shorne, DA12 3HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of pole testing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Lower Road, Shorne, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via Lower Road, Lower Higham Road, A226 Rochester Road, A226 Gravesend Road, Wainscott Northern Bypass, A289 Hasted Road, B2000 Lower Rochester Road, Chequers Street and vice versa.

 

Lynton Road South, Gravesend, DA11 0LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lynton Road South, Gravesend, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 44.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

Parrock Street, Gravesend, DA12 9SW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of drainage improvement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Parrock Street, Gravesend, on or after 19th July 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 149.

The alternative route is via A226 Lord Street, Windmill Street, Clarence Place, Parrock Street.

 

Pelham Road, Gravesend, DA11 0JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of water mains repairs, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pelham Road, Gravesend, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 31.

The alternative route is via Pelham Road, Darnley Road, B261 Old Road West and vice versa.

 

Raphael Road, Gravesend, DA12 2SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of multiway signals on the A226 East Milton Road to replace/repair a fire hydrant, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Raphael Road, Gravesend, on or after 28th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with A226 East Milton Road.

The alternative route is via A226 East Milton Road, Elliott Street and vice versa.
