TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
GLAN YR AFON ROAD, WESTLAND AVENUE, SWANSEA NOTICE 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intend to make an Order. In order for Swansea Council to undertake resurfacing works, it will be necessary to temporarily close the above named road to vehicular traffic.
SCHEDULE
SCHEDULE 1 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
GLAN YR AFON ROAD, SWANSEA
Glan Yr Afon Road from its junction with A4118 Gower Road in a Northerly direction to its junction with Harlech Crescent a distance of approximately 350 Meters, 15/07/25 18:00 & 0:00 for 7 nights The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A4118 Gower Road, Pen Yr Heol Drive and Harlech Crescent a distance of approximately 1.2 kilometers. Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction, drawing No 4343B
SCHEDULE 2 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WESTLAND AVENUE, & EASTMOOR PARK CRESCENT SWANSEA
Westland Avenue and Eastmoor Park Crescent from its junction with Chestnut Avenue over its entire length a distance of approximately 580 meters. 21/07/25, 07:30 & 17:00 for 5 days There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic, drawing No 4343D
Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.
The maximum duration of the order is 18 months and it is anticipated the work will take 3 weeks to complete effective from Monday 14th July 2025.
